Extracurricular Activities
All students,
staff, and community participants of North Cobb High School are encouraged
to engage in collaborative programs to enhance learning and to develop
self-esteem, positive relationships, and mutual respect. The School for
International Studies will produce well-rounded students who will gain a
strong academic foundation in the classroom while enhancing that foundation
through extracurricular activities.
Each student is
required to complete 30 points of extracurricular and community service
activities in a school year. 25 points must come from any combination of
activities listed below as an accepted NCSIS activity. 5 points must come
from the completion of 15+ hours of community service. Students who do not
earn 30 points in a year will be placed on probation. By the end of a
student’s senior year, he/she is required to earn 120 points.
