Student Expectations

The administration, faculty, and community of North Cobb High School value the positive work ethic of its students.  The School for International Studies will work to promote the personal growth and academic integrity of its students.  Students enrolled in the program are expected to abide by all Cobb County and North Cobb policies.  These policies stress the importance of respect and academic success.  NCSIS students should strive to maintain a high level of respect for the learning process and those involved in the learning environment.

In addition, NCSIS students are expected to recognize the importance of learning opportunities.  In order to do so, a good attendance record is necessary and encouraged.  Students are expected to abide by a personal code of academic integrity by adhering by the school’s policy of cheating (see Student Handbook).  Students who do not follow this policy will face the consequences listed in the Student Handbook.  In addition, he/she will be placed on academic probation for the first offense.  Upon the second offense, the student will be dismissed from the School for International Studies.
